Course Description and Goals

Although this training is primarily aimed at those directly involved in confined space work (entrants and supervisors), it is also intended for those who have to plan or supervise work in these hostile environments. This training also serves as a prerequisite for other confined space training courses offered by SPI.

It covers regulatory aspects, risk identification and control, using detection and ventilation equipment, no-entry rescue and much more!

A significant part of this course involves several hands-on exercises, including identification of confined spaces and hazards, supervisor duties, work procedures and requirements (in the form of simulations/situations), and using entry and rescue equipment without confined space entry.

Attestation

This course is delivered to meet either federal, or provincial regulatory requirements, as well as options for MOL and ESC approved courses.

A 3-year training attestation will be issued after successfully completing this course.
