In 1934, during the Great Depression, Louis-Philippe Royer founded the company in Lac-Drolet in the Eastern Townships. The village’s shoemaker and resourceful inventor made the big decision to go into business by manufacturing his boots and selling them from door to door.
At the start of the war, leather was more challenging to come by. But, far from being discouraged, Louis-Philippe Royer rolled up his sleeves and decided to push forward by building his tannery to produce leather for his boots. The company continued to innovate and expand to become the industry leader of safety footwear and work boots.
Today, Royer offers more than 250 models in fifteen countries globally, with almost 85% of models still manufactured or assembled in Canada.

Royer 8” Work Boots with External Metatarsal Protector and Velcro
Here are resistant work boots for heavy-duty tasks. They are made of Amax leather with Kevlar threads and an external metatarsal protector.
The outsole resistant to electric shocks is made of XPAN dual-density vulcanized rubber. In addition, these work boots have an aluminum toe cap, anti-puncture non-metallic plate, and Isofix and foam lining.

Royer 8” Flame-Resistant Kevlar Threads Work Boots with Realflex® External Metatarsal Protector
These work boots are made of waterproof 2.0 mm full-grain leather with sealed Kevlar threads. The Realflex external metatarsal is explicitly designed for workers walking a lot or regularly working in a crouched position. The outside provides adherence, sturdiness and oil resistance. In addition, it protects the worker against punctures and electric arcs.

Designed with Arrow Xpan dual-density vulcanized rubber, they are oil resistant, providing excellent adherence and superior energy absorption. Royer 8” Waterproof Work Boots with INTERGUARD Metatarsal Protector
Made in Canada, these full-grain leather work boots are designed with a flexible and comfortable internal metatarsal protector using the INTERGUARD technology exclusive to Royer. This protector complies with the different requirements stated in international standards about metatarsal protection.
Equipped with a PARESHOK bump toe made of dense rubber covering the leather and protective toe, increasing significantly wear resistance.
